Nevada Brewing Co

A controlled test was performed on the roof of the Nevada Brewing Co. (Budweiser Plant), in July 1989. The test was to monitor the effects of CERAMA-TECH as an energy saver. Cerama-Tech was applied to two separate areas of the roof. Thermometers were inserted six inches into the existing insulation on both the Cerama-Tech sections and the original roof. Readings were taken for two days in a row, and the following calculations on energy savings were derived from those readings by San Diego Gas and Electric Company.

The data provided shows Cerama-Tech reducing heat transmission into the warehouse by about 39% The data was extrapolated to predict reductions for interior temperatures of 40F, 50F, 60F and 70F. At an outside temperature of 104F, the following occurs.

Interior Original Roof Cerma-Tech Heat Transfer
Temperatures Reduction
40F 150F 107F 39.1% (measured)
50F 150F 107F 43.0% (estimated)
60F 150F 107F 47.8% (estimated)
70F 150F 107F 53.8% (estimated)

These tests were conducted by Cerama-Tech International along with the Plant Engineering Personnel of Nevada Brewing Co.
